In The Market For A Reel

Featured Replies

Saw a daiwa exceler crankbait casting reel on sale at tackle-warehouse, and I figure since I have a set up specifically for cranks, and I need a new reel, I could swap em out.

So any one got some experience with this baby?

I've heard that its only drawback is that it squeaks after awhile.

It's a solid entry level Daiwa reel. It isn't the most refined but is a good reel for the money. I had one several years ago that I've since given to my brother, it is still going strong.

So I have fished the Daiwa, can't say it compares to my BB1, but it was def a good example of getting what you buy. I have had no problem with it, although I regreased it fairly quickly. I just can't help be a Lews fanboy haha
