Last year in August, i was fishing a black, yellow, and green strike king KVD frog when i got a slammin hit.  A largemouth, probably about 6 lbs. took it.  I managed to get it in about half way but then it took off into some heavy cover.  I only had 10 lb. test on my reel so when i tried to break it free, the line snapped.  But, anyway, it turned out to be a decent day.  We managed to pull in a couple of 1-2 and a half pounders.  By the way, i live in northwestern Washington, so a 6 lb. bass is a prize!

When i caught my first bass my pair of expensive pliers fell into the bottom of the lake. Then a couple of months later when i had forgot about it, i was fishing a jig and hooked into something. Believe it or not, it was my pliers!

Hah that's crazy now u need to get that frog back and hook into that 6lber... And no matter where you live a 6lber is in the LUNKER category that's a nice size fish

Same thing happened to my wife just the other day.  She was skimming a weightless lizard across the tops some lily pads and a bass hit it,wrapped her up, and ended up breaking off.  I saw it hit and it looked to be a decent size but nowhere near 6lbs.  Felt bad for her.  It probably would have been her new personal best and her first topwater fish.

Yeah, unfortunately you learned the hard way. Never ever, use light lb test when frog fishing. Yes, you may get away with wrestling with some dinks, but even a 4lbr in thick cover will pop your line. Minimum lbs that I use is 30 lb. PP. On a M/H rod. Minimum.
