Should I be using my Flipping/Pitching rod (7,6 H) for pitching beavers as well as my flipping jigs? I would think so because the flipping jig has a extra heavy wire 6/0 hook, but just making sure! Thanks for your help!!

Yes, your logic is correct. You are going to be flipping both and you are using it on a flipping rod. As long as the weights of both are within the rods parameters then it will fit the rods usage. I would imagine this is the case.

pondBoss- same here, I have been fishing that way too, i just wanted some other opinions to compare too! 

If heavy power is appropriate for the weight of the bait and cover being fished, the casting style shouldn't matter.
