Where Are The Bass??? Sfl

Featured Replies

Been reading a lot about how the fish down south are in the marsh/flats since the water levels are higher...but there's gotta be some spots out there!

I tried a new spot north on US-27...fishing the finger canals produced 25+ bass in about 3-4 hours.  Most were about 2lbs but we brought in a couple that were 3-5.

Went back to Holiday Park this morning and it was crap...seems most people agree unless you can get out of the canals.

So...who else has found some spots that produce?

It's good to here 27 produced for you. Right now the hotspot is Lox. Many members on here have posted some nice catches from there recently.

The "finger canals" are still doing well. Just try early in the morning or after the evening rain.

The larger canals are still good too. A deep one near me is hiding some large bass, but they're hanging out in deep water. Gonna hit that spot today and will try to win me a tournament :-)

a buddy of mine just came back from everglades national park (flamingo) he was fishing deep in ,hells bay in his 16ft jonboat & said he did really well,he got 6 big bass.a few large trouts ,snook & some sheep heads i saw all the pics too..ive fished hells bay lots of times and its always very productive...good luck guys.

jonnysmith...   How shallow is it there?  Can you get there in a 18ft bass boat?

Hells Bay isn't particularly shallow when coming in from Whitewater bay.  The difficulty is when you start venturing into the feeder creeks and ponds where larger boats will struggle with tight turns and skinny water.  It's a cool looking place but not the easiest place to find fish.  Not sure I would be exploring there too much in the heat of the summer.  Grab a canoe and access it from the highway some time in the winter.
