On morning of the 4th, we went fishing to some  nice ponds that are connected by a swamp. I used a Roboworm which the fish hit hard. I caught 5 on that set up. I will be doing it again. 

 

 

Couple things that happened: Used a lot of roboworm.   if cast lands in trees or bushes it is not very forgiving. 

Yep. the fun of fishing the drop shot is to see how many rigs you can lose in a day.

 

Usually you lose the weight but if you allow the hook point to be uncovered you will lose the hooks, too.

 

You did great. Now, you need to consider using other baits other than Robo worms.

 

And remember you can Texas rig a plastic on a drop shot, too.

What size hooks do you guys generally use for drop shotting?  Was planning to drop by BPS on the way home from work and pick up some stuff to give it a try.
