Good lures for striped bass

Featured Replies

Im going striped bass fishing in a local river that has some good sized fish. Now does any one know of any good lures for them?

Watched a show the other day, they were catching a lot using bubble-gum colored plastic worms running them as shallow as the could...

Lunker punker, BBZ 1, MS Slammer, Rat-l-traps, speed traps. The colors I have caught most stripers on are white, silverfish and red/black.

I killed them on this last time I went out, caught them as fast as I could cast. It throws a country mile and its a piece of cake to work.

Bomber Salt A - Chicken Scratch (yellowish white)

MirroLure Pop A Dog - Bone color

In the NE thes are the only 2 you need.

Daytime or Nightime? Makes a big difference in lure selection.

Stripers + day fishing in July =  :-?

Try 9" bubblegum sluggo's... or bucktails.
