Good Pitching And Flipping Reel?

Featured Replies

I have a St. Croix Mojo bass 7'6 casting rod and i want to get a reel for it i want to spend about $100 or less on it. Any suggestions on it. And what gear ratio is good for flipping and pitching.

Check the for sale section. I got a lews super duty for 105.00. Absolutely love it.

Lews tournament mg has a longer handle, high line capacity for big line and 14lb of drag.

Super duty is good too but harder to find at the $100 price point.

The daiwa lexa has a much lower drag rating but I have used it for frogs and it has done surprisingly well.

Curado g7 can be had for that price as well.

What you need to focus on is that whichever reel you choose, it's a high speed ala 7:1. High speed helps you retrieve the lure quicker to make another pitch as well as bring the big ones in when you finally catch em
