Powell Max - Crankbait Rod Opinions

So I have a chance at getting a like new condition Powell Max 704 Crankbait rod for 85 bucks. I was also going to buy his CuradoE5 with it with an upgraded Carbontex drag for 130. My question is, how good is that rod? I know that the CuradoE5 is well a Curado so I know what I'm getting.  I was mostly going to use it for squarebills and medium depth cranks (15'). It would be great if it can do deep cranks occassionally (I don't have many places I go to that go deeper than 20+ regularly).

I have the Endurance 695cb. Its a great squarebill/lipless crank rod. I have used mine for mid depth divers and it handles those fine. Im sure the Max will do a good job with what you want to use it for.

I used to have a 704cb, and I still kick myself for err having got rid of it. It's a great square bill-medium depth cranking rod. I use it for traps because its all graphite, not glass, and therefore inherently a little more stiff.

Deep cranks might be a little too much, but that's your call. Either way, a great price on a great stick!!!!!

Thanks for the input guys, I'll probably pull the trigger once I get to inspect the rod in person.
