Grapevine Lake And Surrounding Area

I will be in Dallas every other week for the next 6 weeks starting on the 29th of this month.  I will be relatively close to the western end of Grapevine Lake.  Google earth shows a ton of smaller ponds in that area but it's unclear if they are truly fishable.  

I was hoping to find some spots where I can fish from the bank after work.  With the limited time I have I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction?
