Went out fishing for the first time with the new boat. Wasn't out there long, my dad got a nasty headache and we decided to head home. Somewhere between 2.5 and 3 hours on the water. Started out fishing the grass edges on Saguaro lake in Arizona, fished with a lipless crankbait and a dropshot. No bites, we decided to head up the river and just looked around and I saw a cliff edge that looked interesting. It had several cuts and irregularities in it, so I decided to try it out with a dropshot. First cast I hooked into a solid fish! Got it to the boat and it jumped, out came the hook. It was a nice 4 pound fish. I casted back in, nothing. We moved down river and my dropshot got harassed by a bunch of bluegill. After about a half hour, me and my dad decided to head back to that spot. On my graph I could see arches everywhere along this cliff wall. I casted into a cut, and my dad says to me, "This headache is getting bad, lets head back". I put down my rod and started to put the loose tackle away and put up the trolling motor. I picked up my rod and started to reel back my dropshot. The rod loaded up and I had a fish! After a long fight I pulled this fish up, nothing special about 2-2.5 pounds just shy of 16.5 inches. This little sucker put up one heck of a fight for his size. I hope this is a sign of some prosperous fishing in the future with this boat (and not to many more lost fish)
