Going To Conesus Ny

Featured Replies

I am going to Conesus Lake on sunday to fish for smallmouths, i havent been there ever, can anyone give me a few starting points for catching smallies on this lake for this weekend. As warm as the water and weather is getting i have to admit i am having some trouble locating and catching these browns.

Thanks

I went to college at Geneseo in the early 90s and lived in a house on Conesus lake for a year. The house even came with a boat. I never once went fishing. I'm kicking myself. I hear there's good fish in there but sorry, I can't help you. I just needed to get that off my chest!

I'd be chasing green fish on Conesus.  Actually, was on it a couple weeks ago.  I suppose you could try drop shotting the deeper ledges for smallies, but with this lake having the potential to put  out 25# limits of green fish any day of the week, I'm going for big slobs there.  The place is a bass factory. Watch out for the tigers!
