The time has come to purchase my new electronics and some good prices have come up from TheDigitalOasis.... Their site just seems a little, um, sketchy? Has anyone purchased from them and was your experience good?

For the unit I want, universal mania is $100 more than digital oasis. I've read a little bit about digital oasis from a google search and it seems like they are pretty crappy. I'd rather spend the extra $100 and buy from a company that isn't shady.

Talk to UM Maybe they can work something out. their CS is real good. I had a problem with paypal when buying my first graph. They got their end of it straightened up while I was on the phone with them and had the unit shipped out the same day. It then took paypal 2 weeks to straighten out their end.

Do you what city or state they Digital Oasis is located?

 

If so, check with their Better Business Bureau for any complaints and if the company has a rating.

 

Be safe and not sorry. Go with your gut feeling and have confidence in the people you are dealing with.

I ordered from them one time, and their website said that the unit was in stock.  After two weeks of not receiving a shipping notice or anything I found a better price and from a more reputable company.  So I called DigitalOasis and it took me a while, but finally got my order cancelled.  They still had not shipped it.  I am sure that they won't just take your money, but I don't know that you will get your product very quickly. I will say that the whole experience made me a little nervous.

I purchased two Humminbird units from Digital Oasis over the winter.  Had no problems whatsoever with them.
