A Question On Sponsers

Featured Replies

I haven't got obsessed yet, :) but a question for all you people that follow it,  I added Hank cherry on FB (and yes he occasionally has talked to me, omg ;) ) anyway, he posts videos of damiki, Denali, an Abu Garcia. Is there diff levels of sponsorship? I mean I thought if you was sponsored, you was 100% sponsored. how can he be sponsored by Abu and Denali, since Abu makes both rods and reels, wouldn't he be using both. like Ike( just using him as a reference do blast me, please) also Damiki makes rods aswell,  I am sure there is an easy answer, I just wondered.

There are definitely different levels of sponsorship and people who only represent a portion of a companies products.  Hank Cherry fishes Abu reels on Denali rods and throws Damiki baits.  He doesn't use Damiki or Abu rods.  Megabass, for example, has Aaron Martens using their rods and their baits while Edwin Evers only uses their baits and fishes BPS rods and reels.  Shimano owns G Loomis but some of their prostaffers only fish Shimano rods while others fish Shimano and G Loomis rods and some only fish G Loomis rods.  I have no idea how they determine who does what.

thank you, I get so facinated by stuff like that, idk why, but do.

Darren Gallagher (who is in my church bass club) is sponsored by Abu but is also sponsored by All Star Rods. I know that they're both pure fishing brands, but all star only has three pros, according to their website.
