Can You Use A 3/4 Pin Lock'n-Pin Style Seat Pedistal In A Normal Base?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have the normal seat bases in my boat.  They are non threaded.  I bought an adjustable seat pedestal with a pro casting seat.  I noticed it has a locking type end on it.  Will that get stuck in my normal seat base I use it?  That's the only one basspro had that adjusted that was just a post.  If its going to get stuck, can it be removed from the pedestal?

they interchange. the locking bases are a normal base with a nut welded on the bottom so non locking pedestal is not long enough to hit. likewise the threads on locking pedestals hang out the bottom of the non threaded.
