My Jig Experience Today

Featured Replies

Got out to my nemesis lake today, I pitched a Black and Blue Siebert 1st Gen JFrancho jig to every piece of shoreline wood I could find.  I did manage one.  Lake was Chocolate Milk from all the rain we have been getting, overflowing, blown out pretty much.  Back closer to the creek the water color was more like BBQ Sauce!!!

I'm sure I wasn't out in the best conditions, hopefully the rain will ease up and let the lakes regain it's clairity.

Yeah it has been raining here seemingly every night and the fishing has been tough to say the least.  That is why i have been going after the smaller creeks and rivers targeting smallies and spots on the flows that celar up faster.

chocolate milk and BBQ sauce? i know we're talking fishing but ur making me hungry :drool10:

I feel your pain. I haven't thrown a jig since June 26th! First it was work now its the 103+ heat everyday.

Just keep at it. Sooner or later it will fall into place.

A1 steak sauce describes the lakes I've been fishing lately after the storms...

I can tell you're not from Texas.. We could KILL for some rain down here.
