Does anyone use dual lock snaps on buzz baits or does that mess with the action?  If so, have you ever had a problem with them?

Wouldn't hurt anything as long as the buzzbait has a closed eye. 

The few buzzbaits I own have an open bend for the line tie, in which case snaps are prone to sliding out of position during the cast, on splash-down, during the fight, etc. I will use them for spinners with a closed line tie on occasion, and you can get closed eye buzzbaits. I only throw black, white, and yellow, though; the convenience of a snap would kind of be wasted on me.

If you want to use a snap on a buzzer or spinnerbait with an 'R' bend (open) tie, slip a split ring over the tie point and then clip on your snap.  the split ring (or even a small O ring) will prevent the snap from sliding up or down the bait's arms.

I do this a lot to my bassin; baits when the pesence of toothy fish mandates the use of a wire leader.

I occasionally will snap on a buzzait. I use the split ring trick, and I've never had a problem.

An improved cinch knot is easier and faster for me than messing with a contraption for connecting buzzbaits and spinnerbaits.

I use them on both open and closed eye spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I've never had a problem casting with either -- at least I haven't found the open eye to slide on a snap too often. I don't carry a lot of rods with me -- as a co-angler I've never felt comfortable carrying more than three or four -- so the convenience of snaps outweighs the occasional hiccup.

I never use a snap on anything. I have lost too many good fish when the swivel or snap came apart. A palomar knot is quick and easy to tie, works on all kinds of line, and doesn't slip or come apart under stress. I do use split rings on crank baits to allow for action and tie to the split ring.

I use a snap with buzzbaits. I slip a piece of tubing over the bend to keep the snap from sliding. On some baits you can also wind some line a few turns around the bend and tie it to prevent the sliding.

I have used the 3M Heat shrink tube installed over the r bend to get a more permanent fix as opposed to the poly tube solution I picked some up at Wally world a few years back for a few bucks.
