Good News For Augusta, Ga

Featured Replies

I read today that next year Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop are opening stores in Augusta, GA.  Best news I've heard in a while.  I know where I'm headed as soon as I return from Kuwait next summer!!

I hope it's true...it almost seems too good to be.

I was actually in an online chat with a rep from Cabelas on their website the other day and she did confirm that Cabelas was coming to Augusta.

That's awesome...thanks!  Where's Buford?  I'm from down around Savannah but I live in Evans now (just north of Augusta).

Buford is up I-85 northeast of Atlanta about 40 miles.  The good news is that is in close proximity to the Bass Pro Shop.  The Cabelas rep said that they would be putting a store in Augusta and also in Acworth.  Unfortunately, neither of these are especially close to Buford.  I was really surprised they were not going to put a presence closer to the city.  I buy most of my stuff at Bass Pro or Dicks and occasionally make it to an Academy.

Isnt it enough that they already have the masters? When will it be my turn for a bps/ gandermtn/ cabelas
