Well I've made some changes I ditched them toxic broad heads. Yeah they looked cool and made one heck of a hole but were NOISY and still just not as consistent as I'd like. Well I went to a now shop to have my bow checked out and it is set up perfect nocking point, center shot, timing, you name it its perfect. So I did some shooting and talking with some prostaffers at the shop and they suggested trying a 85gr head. So with nothing to loose I tried it out.

Holy crap did it make a difference I'm shooting tighter then ever my arrows are shooting flatter and planing out better. I've picked up some speed obviously and why shocked me was I'm actually getting more penetration with the lighter tips.

So I went and picked up some new broad heads when there and went with grim reapers 85gr head. Took some shots with the practice head provided and field tips and well I'm very very pleased and well I need to buy some new arrows well a least re fletch and re nock a few lol. I took one quick pic of a almost Robin Hood there were a lot of busted knocks and slapping of arrows I was shooting so tight. Oh and the distance was 10-25 yards its all they had room for.

They also gave me some pointers on form and what not because I was gripping the bow to tight and torquing it to the right made one itty bitty change and bingo a few sight adjustments and I'm ready set for bow season now.

yeah the tech stopped me he said my session was getting expensive because I broke 3 knocks and ripped the fletchings off 4 arrows lol. He said only thing stopping me from putting one threw a shaft was I was getting fatigued and I was I had been on the range for an hour shooting non stop

Just remember that lighter arrows = less kinetic energy. I personally wouldn't shoot anything less then 100 grains, but thats just me.

I'm not to worried about dropping 15gr its still 400gr arrow all together more then enough to kill bambi. 9gpi x 30" = 270, 9gr nock, 16gr insert, 3 blazer vanes are listed as 17-20gr, then the 85 gr head that's 397-400gr arrow. I'm not to worried bout killing a deer with it plenty of people hunt with 75gr slick tricks and do just fine the 15gr drop from 100 to 85 I'm not the slightest concerned about it balances the arrow better and is more accurate and that's whats gonna put the deer on the ground.

Sounds like you may have been a bit underspined before the switch to 85 gr heads. A couple inches off the shaft could have basically did the same thing and you wouldn't have to sacrifice any FOC. A 100 gr head will make a spine weaker, especially on a 30" shaft. Either way, glad you are shooting good.
