Yep, don't use them in saltwater.  Real snook fishermen only use artificial.

haha they are great but i hate using big live baits like that....i have to be casting and reeling a lot or i get bored lol

Up until recently, I have heard several times MC's are great Snook bait. How big of an MC are people using? The reason I ask is because one of the canal's I fish I have seen nice Snook swimming around. How are you guys rigging the MC? Are you using a big float and hooking through the nose? Freelining?

freeline and hook it through top lip or nose and when we use them we are going for big snook so we use 1lb or so size but any size will work

Theres a guy my friend talks to, he goes and catches buckets of cichlids before hitting the salt....cleans up. Theres an abundance of them in my dads lake now 

MC's can survive in Saltwater?

for a surprisingly long while....at the lake worth spillway there is usually schools of them on the banks even when the spillway is closed so im guessing they can last some days
