Bass Weight? Any Idea?

Featured Replies

I was trying a new technique along the Niagara river where I fish a lot. I started on one end other the river and slowly worked my way down, casting into spots where I could, spending sometime where I normally wouldn't, just trying new places. I ended up underneath a overpass in a canal off the river, the water was still and clear next to one of the concrete walls/pillars that hold up the bridge. I seen between 5-10 bass stacked up there around 12" mostly. First cast got one around that length, few more and I got a decent one but I didn't have my tape measurer out since I was moving up and down the river a lot. I took a picture. Any idea what it would be in weight?

(I realize there is nothing to really use to scale besides my hand) Give me an estimate if you can.

Bridge largemouth

The bass had some interesting dark markings on the fins and side too, and she was rather chunky.

Nice chunck. Looks like a 3-3.5lb. Again there are no references. Nice catch either way.

Somewhere in the 2- 2.5lb range. Get a scale.

2 3/4 - 3lbs

2.5 to 3
