i've been retired for  7 years and each year I fish for 3 -4 weeks for trout in the West

My real love is smallie fishing,however.

 

Can anyone recommend some lakes or even streams where I can  find decent SM fishing in the West during July and August

    Umqua River, Oregon for 200 fish a day but you have to drift. Might get a couple steelhead on the way.
