Lowe Tin Boat
I,ve always owned tin boats because I take my boats where I would hesitate to take a composite boat. Two years ago I bought a , '13 Lowe 18'. Two things attracted me to it. When a tin boat leaks it is usually where the two halves of the hull meet at the keel. Dicey trying to get rid of that leak. On the Lowe there is cap, perhaps 5" wide, that runs down the entiire lenght of the keel. The other thing I liked was that there were two rod lockers allowing me to keep 18 rods rigged and ready. I don't fish 18 rods but I have one ready for whatever I might want to do. The ony thing about the boat I don,t like is the fuel filler hose. I've monkied with it on and off two years and I still have to take the filler hose off and fuel at the tank. The trailer is another matter. First trip out I bent the axle. Next axle straight from the factory was bent. Finally mounted a 3500lb axle. The guide-ons weren't up to the job, either. One bent and the other broke. Replaced them with heavy-duty which of course ment I had to change the lights.

Either way will work without damaging the fish but I prefer a hole in the bottom lip.

Night Fishing?
I normally use a cap light just for tying, ect. If its a particularly dark night I have a light rigged on the boat that lights out to about 40'. Doesn't seem to bother the bite any.

Thunder Storms?
You didn't ask but I'm sure you know you don't want to be out there in a thunder storm. Especially waving a rod around in the air.

30+ Year Old Bantam
I have a baker's dozen or more of the old Bantam 150 and 250 selective anti-reverse reels. Great reels and I still keep a couple in the holster.

Catching Sunning Bass
I seen these things for years, in ponds and large lakes. They often sit on top of a submerged bush or rock. This just doesn't jive with a bass hatred of light. As far as catching them, I find them extremely spooky and have never caught one.

Giving Up Your Rights To Fish.
Anybody that thinks some of the more outrageous searches mentioned are OK because you have nothing to hide should study and understand the Constitution--particularly the Bill of Rights.
