Plfuger Light Baitcasting Razor Tip Rod??

I just picked up one of these razor tip light 5'6" rods. The last 12" or so of the rod at the tip is really a thin diameter. I'm not sure what to use this rod for? I read it was a light rod but it's more of a ultra-lite at the tip. I wonder if a 3lb bass could break it? The workmanship on this rod is awesome it's a $49 rod and I got it for $19. Does anyone use one?

Last week I caught a decent bass on my ultra lite trout setup it was fun playing the fish more slowly taking my time.

I have two 6'6" light casting models. They'll handle a good fish ok. Don't let theat tip fool ya.......it's tough as nails. Mine are awesome for casting really light stuff on light line. I also sometimes use these with a spincast reel for ultralight cranking.

I just ordered two more. My wife and her co-worker want to go fishing. I figure I could put two zebco ultra lite spincasts on them. I figure some nightcrawlers would teach what fishing is all about. I also have some 1" mister twister grubs in a milktruese color along with a rattle bobber for crappies too. I hope they get hooked on fishing. I wasn't sure if this razor tip rod could handle the bigger bass or not. I hope it can, I may purchase more of these rods.
