  1. Thanks for all the response. I have decided to go with Suffix 832 20lb. test. Should have about a 6lb. diameter. Am I close?
  2. Thinking of spooling a couple of spinning reels with 30# test with 6# diameter. Any comments or recommendations?
  3. Does the Diaws Revros have an anti-reverse switch?
  4. Okuma makes some qualty spinning reels.
  5. I already have 2 Supremes 30 size w/extra spools and 3 trion 4725 w/extra spools also, these are from 2010. Also have an older Shimano Sahara 1500 (2008 I think) with spool too. Also a Shimano FX 2500 no extra spool and Trion 3500 no extra either. Bait monkey is on my back though, and he's grabbing at my wallet ?. The Piscifun and Diawa Legalis look interesting ?.
  6. Looking for inexpensive 6.2:1 gear ratio spinning reel. 20, 25, or 30 size. Preferably with spare spool and/or anti reverse switch. Used is ok, but in good condition. Recommendations?
  7. I live very near to Lake Texoma, one of the renowned Striper lakes in the nation. I grew up fishing it and remember catching tons of white (sand) bass before they introduced the striper. I'm old school and use two Abu Garcia 5600C with aftermarket power handles with 15-20 lb. Yozuri Hybrid. The Abu Garcia reels in 6500 size are the most favored by the guides here on this lake, but any round baitcast reel is prefered above a low profile BC.
  8. Okuma spinning reels are quality, power, and durability all in one package. That Ceymar comes in a 500 size also. The Tica reel looks good too. The older Pflueger Trion GX7 reels are great reels too. I have and use 3 of them in the 25 size.
  9. Seems like we are all of the same opinion here. Thanks for your answers. They helped verify what I was already thinking. Ordered one yesterday.
  10. I'm wanting to go to an 8.1:1 ratio reel for flipping and pitching and short casts to the bank. Mainly with jigs and T-rigs. Would the Fuego CT be sufficient for this or should I spend the extra $30 for a Tatula CT?
  11. Just received the Speed Demon Elite 10.5:1 today. $119.99 at Academy. Seems like a well built quality reel. Any opinions? Be nice.
  12. It would be for finesse presentations with 10-12 lb. braid. I have a like new Pflueget Supreme from 2011. Will definitely utilize it along with my choice of a new rig.
  13. Hello I used to be a regular on this forum, took a break from fishing for a while tho. Time to get back to it. Thread title says what I'm looking for. Any rod recommendations to pair it with would be appreciated also. Thanks guys.
