Heading To Ma, Where To Go? ( Berkley, Taunton Area)

Featured Replies

Heading up to MA for a wedding this weekend, and am looking to head out with a friend of mine.  Can anyone recommend some good spots in the Berkley / Taunton area?  I need to keep it close by to be able to make it out and back over a few hours,  travelling less than 30 mins is best. Shore Access is a must, since I won't have a boat.

Can anyone recommend a decent spot to catch some LMB?

Thanks!

Rich

I know of Watson Pond and Lake Sabatia. I've fished Sabatia with no results. I did not stay long because the weeds are out of control and were less than perfect conditions for the crank bait I had tied on. Both are supposed to hold LMB. Sabatia has limited bank access on it's west side. Watson Pond is part of a state park so I'm assuming there should be some space to fish from shore.
