New To Jacksonville, Fl

Featured Replies

I recently moved here and I'm new to fishing in general also to the area. I live in the South-side area, so please help locate places to fish from shore because I don't have a boat. Also what to use( lures, baits, plastic worms).

Thank you

Welcome to Jax and welcome to the forums.

Check out some of the threads I believe there are a few on Jacksonville fishing. Also basically any pond you see in apartment complexes and neighborhoods all hold bass, and a lot of them don't get fished. Not sure if you have a smart phone but google earth is what I use when I am out to find new spots. If you don't simply use the Internet and write down some locations you see close to you using google earth.

Has anybody tried the pond by the FBI place on Gate parkway or the ones by 9A (south of Baymeadows)?
