was it just too much lube/grease?

I had a problem with my gen 3 revo s not re engaging and all it was the thumb button (some how) got pushed down enough to cast but not enough to re engage, kinda stuck in that position. Just push the bar down pretty hard and it may fix it, worked for me

i had the "sticking thumb bar-issue" as did a few other early 3G revo owners. i sent it back to abu and they sent it back to me with a note that said they "adjusted the clutch plate" (whatever that means). if you send it via USPS priority mail, it'll be slightly under $6. abu pays the shipping back to you. i got mine back in about 9 days.

Yes I appreciate the responses. So far I did push thumb bar down ,that worked a little, then I took it apart and cleaned up excess grease. Seems to be good now. If it happens again i will send back, looks inexpensive enough. The reel otherwise works well.I have been using Ardent reel lube on the bearings.Does anyone know if this is the best way to handle them. Seems to work well, just looking to optimize easy casting. The reel came with some clear oil or lube , not sure which it is but the Ardent reel butter has always been good to me although it lasts a shorter amount of time than say hot sauce which i like but dont have .Again just seeking opinions on the best oil, lube for this reel. Thanks again for all or any responses.I really enjoy this site and being able to get in depth info from anglers that use and enjoy the different gear and baitcasters in general.I have owned quite a few and always trying to get the most out of what I have now.
