I bought a new curado 300e last night for swimbaits and A-rig.  It has the 6.2:1 gear ratio, is it possible to switch that out for a slower ratio like 5.0:1 like the 200e or a 5.5:1 chronarch e?  I just like a slower gear ratio for those applications.

No, the 300 series has larger gears and therefore can not be switched with the gears from a 200. I use my 301E for all my A-Rig and big swimbait/swim jig duties and I love it. It isn't to fast at all in my opinion. I think after you fish it a few times you'll get acclimated to it and really like fishing with it as well. Even though it has a 6 ratio it is very powerful, no "stress" when fishing A-Rigs at all. Great reels.  

It just feels pretty fast playing with it.  It was just a thought, because all last winter I was catching 3 to 1 against my partner with the rig and the only difference in the setup and baits was I used a curado e5 and he threw it on a chronarch b 6.2:1.  I'll play with it Saturday and see how I like it. 

The 300 gears aren't much if any larger than the 200 gears.  I've never tried swapping them, but it might be possible.  Try swapping the gears between your reels; the worst that can happen is they don't fit.

The 300E recovers 28" with 1 handle turn and being a large size spool compared the 200 the line recovery doesn't change much at 90' cast. This is a fast reel with a lot of power. If you can't control your cranking speed, the 300E isn't a good choice for you. Excellent reel for the application.

Not a single thing in this post is even remotely correct. Very apparent you don't own or know ANYTHING about a 300 series Curado.
