Lews Spinning Rods??

Featured Replies

I have three Finor Lite spinning rod setups. Two med/hvy 7' rods and one 6'6" medium rod. I'd like to add another rod setup and try a different brand of rod and was wondering if a LEWS Speed Stick is a good spinning rod?

The spinning rod setups I want are for;

Topwater

Crankbaits

Spinnerbaits/Inline spinners

Carolina Rigs (plastics)

Smaller weight lures were the bait caster is harder to cast.

So is a lews speed stick good or not? There $89 rods for $44.

For $44 dollars but it and give everyone a review and don't forget to post up some fish.

Recently tested some Lew's stuff.  Very good

I ordered the two new lews speed stick spinning rods, one 6'6" & one 7' long rods.

Be sure to post a review, I've been thinking about getting the 7' ML micro guide spinning rod.

I commented on this a few weeks ago.  I don't like them.  They aren't anywhere near as smooth as Shimano or Pflueger.  Their finish looks and feels good, but it will chip and scuff.  If you're looking at combos, the Pflueger president combo comes with a very nice Pure brand rod.

I don't think anyone should buy any spinning reel under $100 but Pflueger.  Over $100 I'm looking at Shimano and Pflueger again...any more expensive it's just Shimano.

I been using the Finor spinning reels with 4 ball bearings they manufacture those large gold colored saltwater reels for marlin and sail fish etc. I also use the okuma exipitor spinning reels with 10 ball bearings. Both reels are between $50 to $100.

I been also using the Globe and Viva spinning reels too. I haven't had any problems with any of them yet.
