Which Rod

Featured Replies

Just in general brandwise, I can get a st croix premier for $75 or an *** black for 60, what should I go with?

No brainer.  You should buy both rods.  You can't have too many rods.

Well said.  :teeth:

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the premier, i find it heavy and i think there are better rods for the money. If i were you i would gamble on the ***, it gets great reviews here and its cheaper.

When in doubt while at the cross roads on which one to buy its a no brained I buy both.

This way your not missing out on a great price on either one. I'm broke but I have plenty of fishing stuff and enough money for gas to get me there.kidding but that's all I worry about now. My bills are paid and do I have enough fishing tackle yet? Nope.

I wish I could but at this time I cant afford to buy 2. I would like to know which one to get first I guess, because down the road I may make some more money, just gotta mow a couple of lawns.

i think you will like the *** better

these your only options? what are you buying them for? what length and action? plenty of good rods on tw for similar price range. *** also has customer reviews of those rods i believe.

There have been many quotes that's the *** is the best $100 rod out there. At $60 if it's in good condition then that's a no brainer. Hopefully it's the 7'1 MH. That rod is so versatile.

Best idea ever! Lol

***. Cheaper. Better reviews. If you dont like it, hey. Take it back and try out the St Croix Premier. Just be sure to save the receipt!
