The hooks on short crankbaits like the Baby 1- keep getting hooked together. What is the best and shortest, short shank treble hook to replace with?

I was never able to completely prevent hook tangles with short shank hooks. I use #6. Maybe to prevent all tangles you'd need #8 or maybe a #6 and #8. Another alternative is to use just one hook, maybe a #4 or #2.

The new Mustad KVD trebles are short shank, and hold fish on amazingly well. As soon as I can afford enough they will be on all of my cranks.

I also like the Mustad KVD's, and Mustad also makes a short shank hook called the Elite with a round bend (the KVD has the triple grip bend) I like that hook too.
