Bps Brawler Rod

Featured Replies

Anyone have experience with the Bass Pro Shots Brawler rod? Need a new rod and this one looks good because I can get it 6'6 2 pieces, medium power, and medium action, which fits what I fish very well. Is it a good rod? http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Brawler-Spinning-Rods/product/1209070506478/

Good is subjective.  It's a 1970's era Ugly Stick in terms of both technology and function.  Not what my first choice would be, even in a $20 rod.

The blank on that rod is mostly fiberglass.  It's going to be pretty whippy, I imagine.  It probably would be ok for casting small crankbaits and small spinnerbaits.  It would make a good bobber and bait rod.

That one is a mix of graphite and glass, just like the one the op asked about.

yea, its still better than the other one, if he wants a good rod hes gonna have to spent a little more
