fishing senkos?

so i have a new baitcasting reel/rod and it says use lures 1/4 ounce to like an ounce so does that mean i cant fish senkos wieghtless? cause i really dont want to use my spinning gear which is mainly for trout. also ive heard of people using senkos under bobbers, have u heard of it? also TIPS TIPS TIPS! i havent used the senko much, im not very familiar with any soft plastic! help!

A 5" senko (the GY one) weighs around 3/8 oz. You can very easily fish that weightless. More important is the action/taper of your rod. A medium or medium fast tip probably won't help much.

You'll toss a few rolls of quarters into the lake if you wacky rig with a baitcaster, unless you use o-rings or something similar.  No problem on a weedless worm hook with a medium/fast rated rod.
