Small Bass Hits Big Swimbait

Featured Replies

Got this new BPS Laser Eye Shad over the weekend. Tried it out today and just casted it and reeled in medium speed.

I get a hit on the lure and I'm reeling in...small bass, big swimbait. This proved to me even a small bass will tackle a much bigger meal.

The BPS swimbait did its job, it swam straight on a medium to slow retrieve. It even did well on a faster retrieve. I weighed the lure on my digi scale and its at an ounce. For a lure under $4, it's not bad at all. Looks like it'll take a few fish before it's toast.

Look at my avatar. Hooked through the lips on the front treble. ;D

what bait is that?

I've seen tiny baby bass aggressively strike my big jerkbaits before, although I was unable to hook them.
