I'm looking for suggestions for a good handheld and maps for the gps.

So I can mark spots I find and find my way back to the lodge easily. For my yearly trip to Canada.

I do not do tournaments. I'm no trying to steal fishing spots. Just looking for a problem free handheld and decent lake maps

check out the garmin etrex series, get one of the higher end models and buy a map pack for it.  I used to have one till i dropped it in the james river while catfishing.

A friend of mine has the Delorme 40 and hunting is his thing.

We did some ATV trips in West Va and his GPS was very accurate with trails and topo.

Lowrance Endura Safari or Sierra or H20C(if you can still find them)
