Found A New Lake In Nh

Featured Replies

Towards the end of last season, went camping and brought the canoe even though I didnt really plan to fish. Well, I am glad I did because between myself, my wife and son we caught some HUGE fish. Biggest smallies AND Largies that I have ever seen. 3-5 Lbs Smallies and 5-7 lb Largies. Nothing under 3 lbs. All day.

Well needless to say I hit that lake for the next 3-4 weeks ( with my boat ) and the action never let up! Whole family caught PB's for size and quantity. Cannot wait until ice out and I plan on renting a house on the lake and fishing a LOT!

What part of nh were you in? Not looking for exact location as I know some people don't like to give that out.

Sounds sweeet

Sounds like heaven, don't tell too many!

It really was heaven. Best fishing of my life. It was like I was down south.

I don't mind telling. It was Milton Three Ponds. If ever in the area check it out. Not a lot of fishing pressure and lots of parking at public launch. Only down side is it is 10.00 to launch but the fishing was well worth it.

Funny, I have driven by that place about a million times and never knew there was a public launch. That place is on the way to family summer house. Will have to give that a try. Now that I think of it, I don't think I have ever seen anyone fishing out there.

Have you tried Onway in Raymond? Its hit or miss but there are quality fish in there also.

Yeah the launch is right next to the public beach off old Rt 125. You have to try it. It will not disappoint.

Only been to Onway once even though its not too far from my house. Will have to try it again this spring. My buddy fishes it quite a bit.

Another great place is Balch Pond. Have to hit it during the week or early morning though because it gets pretty busy.

I had a best friend that was from North Conway and an avid bass fisherman.  He loved New Hampshire fishing and moved from south Florida back up north when he retired.  I fished several lakes in NH and Maine with him, we had a ball.  Tom past away this past spring, while out to lunch with his fishing buddies.

Balch is where the lake house is. There are some big fish in there of you know where to look. I'm at onway a good amount in the summer as it's only about 10 minutes from home. Not a bad pond minus the skiers

Wow small world. One of my best buddies has a place on the Balch as well and I basically grew up on that lake. They live over in Shady Nook. Spent most of my summers there.
