Custom Hand Pours

Featured Replies

Just ordered some from a local www.nastybaits.com

Curious to see what kind of difference they will make in bites and how they hold up. Anyone using exclusively hand pours?

I use Dichoso Baits exclusively. They definitely have a tendency to boost my confidence knowing that no one else is throwing the same thing. Getting to pick your own colors, flakes, and how soft the bait will be is always nice.

I've never used those NastyBaits specifically, but hand pours are great.

Hand pours are great.  I pour my own, and I seldom buy anything off of the shelve.  The main reason I use them is as stated in the previous post.  Colors.  I also like my stuff super soft, especially when targeting smallmouth.  I just feel they hold the bait a second or two longer.  It may be just a confidence thing, but they seem to work.  I also like the scents that I use better than most mass produced baits.  They will not fill every need you may have, but they are worth having in the boat.

I use Zipper hand pours. I pretty much only use worms as far as hand pours go. Its a great way to go when ya want a good soft buoyant bait.

They should be very nice.  I have some of the same injection molds he is using (the Kodiak, and creek craws).  Durability is really going to depend on how soft the plastic is and what all he adds to it (salt, scent etc.)  I really like the creek craws on a shakey head.

Whenever I feel the need to use a hand pour thats who I call.  When Richard down here at 152nd ST baits stopped pouring, he gave all of his molds and materials to Romeo.  Fantastic company to work with.  Very reasonable prices too.  The fact that you can pick and choose how soft or hard you want the bait is just great.  You've got complete control over your choice.  How much salt, how much color, how much whatever.
