  1. When I first joined here I didn't have a boat never made me feel out of place though. Boat no boat fishing is fun

Let it sit till ripples go away then a pop pop pause. If that doesn't seem to work I try to walk it in one spot as much as I can. I've had times when working the bait less has done more.
  3. I try to wait until the holiday sales come up at BTD or TW usually they are around 20% off sales. You save and get more for you money.
  4. how much plastic are you looking to get?
  5. I like owner also. I usually use the 1/0 mosquito hook, it's also good for using as a drop shot hook.
  6. I wasn't saying drilling the tungsten itself, BPS presses what looks like a plastic insert inside their older line if tungsten bullet sinkers was wondering how drilling that out would work
  7. I have some of those sinkers myself. Think it is possible to drill out that insert and maybe dremmel off any sharp edges you get?
  8. Is the BASS insider site down?
  9. Ok this might be a silly question but here goes. If this braid does sink will it still be a good braid for fishing like hollow body frogs?
  10. They should be very nice. I have some of the same injection molds he is using (the Kodiak, and creek craws). Durability is really going to depend on how soft the plastic is and what all he adds to it (salt, scent etc.) I really like the creek craws on a shakey head.
  11. welcome aboard colobass! Loads of great info here on the site I am sure you will like it a lot. I can't answer your question on what finish coat the crankbait guys are using on their paint jobs but I know if you post that question in the Tacklemaking forum someone will be more than happy to help you out.
  12. Ha silly me didn't scoll down that forum far enuff. These seem closeish the pincers are a touch diffrent I think though http://www.basstackle.com/product_p/4craw.htm
  13. Simply Amazing work!
  14. Anyone have a link to a good picture of these? I might be able to find something on the handpour sites I frequent.
  15. I have been using Dobyns Champ Gen 2s all year with no trouble at all. just picked up my 5th one a month ago I love em =).
  16. I have A 705cb it is a great rod that handles A nice variety of diffrent lures. I also have a 704 cb glass and IMO the 705 is much more versitile.
  17. Although I have a ton of diffrent colors more often than not I end up useing black/blue flake, green pumpkin black flake, or water melon red flake.

here is another site to look at for pouring your own soft plastic baits. http://www.bearsbaits.com/ A lot of good information there for sure. They helped me a lot when I got started. As far as fumes off plastic goes each brand is a little diffrent. From what I have seen posted Chemionics has the least fumes. I use it and unless I get it too hot it isn't bad at all.
  19. hehe here's a link to keep up on what's goin on with the sale etc. http://www.jerrymckinnis.com/

    welcome aboard
  21. The fishing there is good for both Bass and Bluegill. If you are bank fishing you are kinds limited as they only allow bank fishing from 2 fishing piers. The lake is 1200 acers and electric motors only. There is good fishing not too far from the boat ramp but if possible once you leave the ramp head east down the channel. Go 300 or so yards and you will see reeds with a channel runnin through them try there up next to them and also the flats besides that channel in the reed area. Black blue flake or green pumpkin senkos work well and weedless topwaters (frogs) will do well for bass
  22. I go to Willow Slough a lot ( was just there last weekend) They have plenty of places to tent camp, A shower house and bathrooms. Boat rental is 20 dollars for all day. Boat house opens at 6am and you can keep the boat till after dark if ya like. I don;t know the camping rates but you can call for rates/ reservations from 6am till 4 or maybe 5 their number is (219)285-2704
  23. hehe I like Rolo's answer, I live in NW indiana and Bass 2 Pounds and up make me happy. Bet if I lived in texas, Cali or Flordia I would probally feel diffrent. Hey I have fun catching bass whatever size
