  1. Hey these sound like they might be great. Can ya tell me a lil of what's in them? Like what is season 1 and 2? Thanks
  2. I try to use braid that is the recomended diameter of the baitcaster. I feel it works better IMO anyway
  3. How are you rigging them? When I wacky rig Senkos I use O-rings and get more than a few fish outta 1 worm more often than not.
  4. Welcome to the site!
  5. welcome aboard this is an amazing place with lots of great info!
  6. I used 30lb stealth spiderwire all season with plain old palomar knot to fish Spro frogs caught a lot of fish never had that knot fail me.
  7. MERRY CHRISTMAS! To all the great people that participate and make this site such an awsome place.
  8. Yes excellent article something I hope many read and tell others about. Bassin Fin@tic said it well "Keep trash in its place"
  9. Did that fish get all them in his stomach from the plastics being toosed overboard once they was in too bad of shape to be fished with? Or do you think it managed to get all them off of hooks etc?
  10. Welcome Zero this is a great site for sure. Where ya been fishin at around chicago? I live not too far away from the city
  11. My dad started taking me with him bass fishing when I was in my early teens. We would go to a lake called Willow Slough, catch 12 inch bass all day on plain old brown Mr. Twisters never anything bigger it was so much fun. He started me fishing tournaments also back then. Now after takin many years away from the sport I am back fishing at Willow Slough. I remember them days everytime I leave the boat dock.
  12. sounds like a plan I have plenty old sheets. Thanks for the input all
  13. This might be a silly question but I thought I'd ask it any how. My better half is planning on setting off a couple "spider bombs" this weekend. I guess ya need to be out of the house a couple hours while they do whatever they do. Think leaving all the lures etc in the house is alright?
  14. I use 1/0 Owner mosquito hooks with very good results. I also use the o rings on my Senkos for wacky rigging them you get a lot more use out of the worm this way.
  15. nice fish Lockus! I haven't been out in lil over 5 weeks now work has been crazy 6 days a week 60 + hours a week =( But on a good not I did get me a new rig
  16. that might be fun I have never fished the lake Mich from shore too much.
  17. Heya! good to see another NW indiana guy here I went to lake george last couple weeks and fishing was pretty good. I caught 17 Bass last time I was there. The kankakee river can be good fishing but also can be rough to fish from shore. ( i live about 5 min from it). Do you have a trolling motor by chance? if so there are a couple places that rent boats not too far that have some pretty good fishing.
  18. they have bi focal safety glasses where I work. They are cheap and do magnify well and don't look too bad at all. http://www.safetyglassesusa.com/rad-sequel-rsx.html I am sure there are a lot of diffrent brands that make these to
  19. wow that seems a lot easier than I was expecting I am for sure going with technique specific rods from here on and I guess either glass or graphite is more along the lines of personal preference then?
  20. I am looking to get a couple new rods. From what I have read glass has a more parabolic bend. I am guessing that might be better for a cranking type application? Does this mean that graphite would be the prefered rod type for lets say a flipping stick? Any other advantages disadvantages in glass VS Graphite?
  21. Hey! thanks I checked the site out a bit it looks pretty good.
  22. welcome aboard fishbone great community here. you might be able to see post info by clicking the username.
  23. Just wondered how many (if any) other guys from my neck of the woods are around here. Maybe chat up what lakes we go to etc.
  24. great read, that sounds like a really fun club to be in. Wish they was close to my neck of the woods.
  25. I have had a few descent feeling fish get down into the reeds or pads this year and get off. It is kind of a bummer but also to me it is the challenge. Hooking a nice fish in the thickest Vegetation and seeing if I can land her. I like to think no one get everyone out and just try harder next time I get one on.
