Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style

Featured Replies

I am trying to find something similar to the Stanley Hales craw worm since they don't sell them in bulk packs anymore. After trying some of the production baits and not finding a suitable replacement thought some of you might be able to hep me.

Don't know where to get them, but those were some great baits. Black and Blue, texas rigged or as a jig trailer worked real well.

I have some left, Stanley still offers them as trailers in a jig package but they won't sell them any other way. Northern Bass supply carried them for years and was the last place that sold them as far a I know.

Seems everything that works for me goes this way. Hales Craw, Berkley 4" finesse worms and Culprit finesse worms All great baits, but hard to find anymore.

Anyone have a link to a good picture of these? I might be able to find something on the handpour sites I frequent.

Found a good picture on Texas Fishing Forum when I googled Hales Craw worm. Somebody bought out a tackle store and is selling it off. I will contact him about what he has for sale but still would like to find some hand poured . Thanks for replying.

Pour your own, it's easy and fun. Here is a mold that is very similar. http://www.lurecraft.com/catalog.cfm/molds/plastic-molds/craws/5x587:304. I actually like the one in the previous post better though. It seems to have a little more detail and would still be very easy to pour. You can also ask some of the guys over on T.U.  Someone on there probably pours it.

Scaledriver I don't want to pour them myself, but find someone to buy them from. That does look close though. The site I sent you to was from 2008 so I don't think I will be contacting him about the baits (oops). Thanks again

TU does have alot of soft baits on it. I pour my own jigs and spinnerbaits so I guess I shouldn't rule out pouring my own worms.

The Hale Craw Worm looks a lot like the Gene Larew Salt Craws. Have you tried those yet?

Yes but they are a little harder rubber than I like.
