New Luhr Jensen Speedtrap
Mabe it is just an optical illusion but the center ridge under the lip looks thicker on the website.

New Luhr Jensen Speedtrap
I was looking on the Luhr Jensen Website and saw that it had been updated, looking at the pictures of the Speedtrap I think they have changed the bait. Has anyone gotten one of these baits. I may have to buy up some of the old style because that is my favorite crankbait.

Slider Heads
Can't say enough about how well the spider slider heads come through cover. I use the 1/8 oz with the 4 inch charlie Brewer worms and some of my biggest fish have come on this combo. I have tried the Pro heads but loose a lot of fish because the hook is to thick to set with the lite line (6 or 8 pound test) that I use on my spinning rod. I have been using them for 20 years and on tough bite days this is my confidence bait. They are the best hooks for small worms that I have found. Charlie Brewer Sr past away in 2000. Good luck on the water guys.

Cavitron Buzz Baits
I have had better luck with Cavitron buzz baits since they started using Gamakatsu hooks and I use a stinger hook (3/0 Gamakatsu) about 50% of the time. I let the mood of the bass guide me on that one. Been using Cavitron's for decades they have a great product.

Crestliner VT17 aluminum bass boat
I am looking around at new aluminum bass boats and saw the VT17 rig from Crestliner, nice layout of the front deck. I have been looking for a boat with a layout that fits my style of fishing and this may be the one. Looking forward to seeing one up close.

Ready to do Battle!!
Tried and true! This color combo accounts for 80% of the jigs I make.

Fluid Beds
The bag or filter is bonded with silicone to the bottom of the extra cup then you have a top to put on it so the powder paint won't spill.

Eagle Claw Hooks
They are ok hooks but I think the points dull and bend over when bumped against stuff. I use Mustad Nor tempered 95% of the time, from my experience they just stay sharper and are stronger. They are worth the extra money to me.

A few knockoff paints
Nice looking paint jobs. I like that bluegill version, the dark bars pop out at you.

Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style
Yes but they are a little harder rubber than I like.

Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style
TU does have alot of soft baits on it. I pour my own jigs and spinnerbaits so I guess I shouldn't rule out pouring my own worms.

Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style
Scaledriver I don't want to pour them myself, but find someone to buy them from. That does look close though. The site I sent you to was from 2008 so I don't think I will be contacting him about the baits (oops). Thanks again

Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style
Found a good picture on Texas Fishing Forum when I googled Hales Craw worm. Somebody bought out a tackle store and is selling it off. I will contact him about what he has for sale but still would like to find some hand poured . Thanks for replying.

Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style
I have some left, Stanley still offers them as trailers in a jig package but they won't sell them any other way. Northern Bass supply carried them for years and was the last place that sold them as far a I know.
-
Hand poured/ Hales craw worm style
I am trying to find something similar to the Stanley Hales craw worm since they don't sell them in bulk packs anymore. After trying some of the production baits and not finding a suitable replacement thought some of you might be able to hep me.

Wire Tie vs. Line Tie vs. Rubber Collar for Jigs
There is no doubt it is a tough "feel" to learn. But the reward is well worth all of the frustration. (and lost jigs)
-
Wire Tie vs. Line Tie vs. Rubber Collar for Jigs
The regular collars are ok unless you are skipping a jig alot then the wire tie is a must. You might try spreading the weedguard out a little if you are losing a lot of jigs, this will help.

Living rubber jigs
Hi Red, Nice looking jigs, I use living rubber about 80% of the time because to me it gives the bait a larger silhouette and the movement of the rubber is different than silicone. I skip a jig alot and sometimes use small black wire ties instead of rubber skirt collars to hold them to the jig head. My preference is flat living rubber over hte round but can't find the flat at this time. Good luck Friday.
