Kotg?

Featured Replies

I fished the KOTG Sunday.  Leo and I finished 19th out 61boats with ~12lbs.  Fishing was pretty tough with the Collegiate tourney and the BFL the four days prior.  We found some good fish in the slop, but we would lose most of em in the hay.  We left a lot of weight out there (as did many other guys).

Winner was Hank/Skip with 19.5lbs.  Royer/Royer was second with 19.   Lendl had a really good field Sunday...most of the sticks from the everglades showed up as did many of the BFL/Okeechobee studs (Ruiz, Donny Bass, Surman, Jared McMillian, Stinson, Val, Mikeyballzz, Medlin...)

Does bass buster start a new season?

Never mind got it.

I missed my first kotg on years I was out of town. By the weights looks like I didn't miss too much. Is next months also at the lake?

Rob, the next two are at Holiday Park then April back at Okeechobee, I believe.

Well, Leo and I won Bottom Line Mike's KOTG club tournament out of Holiday Park yesterday.  Weighed just shy of 20lbs.  Was a nasty cold day for South Florida...my thermometer was reading 39degrees when I pulled into the park.  That was one cold ride at 70MPH in the AM.

Saw a couple of the guys here.  It was nice to finally meet Dave (Salmocoptrus).

Any one fishing the Channing Crowder tournament on 1/31?   First prize = $10,000.  A lot of FLW pros coming down to fish it.  Going to take a lot more than 20lbs to win that one, but it looks like we're gonna give it a go.

Is there water in the flats?

Robert, yeah there's water in the flats. Those guys struggled with the cold, though.

Bass N Fools had their year end classic out there also Sunday. We let those guys go out first. Tim Feller won that one with 13 something. Feller is one of the (if not THE) the best tourney anglers in Florida right now. And he had been hammering em out there. So we were pretty pleased with what we got.
