Is There Open Water Where You Live?

Featured Replies

I'm curious if there is any open water around the North East. I'm in the Philly area and everything is solid. Anyone lucky enough to have some open?

Lower housatonic for schoolies (stripers) hopefully a few 30 inchers in there as well

Yes, every year there is open water less than an hour and a half away from me, Seneca Lake.   It never freezes due to depth, and I have buddies that fish it from boats all winter long (although mainly for perch).  I get invites now and then but have never taken the offers.

Got word my local lake is frozen over.

This is my local river, chunks floating around making a glacier down stream.

No open water near me  for awhile.
