Most Recent Tournament Results About Bass Fishing Catches On Lake Keowee In South Carolina?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone i need some help from the fishing community. Can anybody help me with the most recent tournment results about lake Keowee. I am intrested in what the fish was bitting? how deep? what types of baits? what size baits? what teckniques are catching fish? what colors work best for the lake? I have never fished this lake before and am needing some help? Thanks for everyones help in advance.

Not many SC fisher's on here and most guys I know fish Hartwell more than Keowee.  Got this off the DNR's website though.

Lake Keowee: (unchanged from Jan. 2)

  • Largemouth and Spotted Bass: Good to very good. Bass fishing remains very strong on Lake Keowee, and that catching 20-plus fish on a trip is fairly common as late fall/winter-time schools get tighter. Anglers willing to use live bait can catch even more fish. Bass can still be found chasing bait and schooling on the surface, although schooling back in the creeks has slowed down. Schooling fish related to the main channel can be caught on small topwater plugs.

Yes i have fished it in a tournament as a non boater. Did'nt do well not because it is a bad fishery it was just tough conditions that day and my boater partner tournament blocked me the whole day. There was only one limit brought to the scales. There was few anglers who caught one or two fish, and many of us zeroed.
