Would Like To Change My Username, But

Featured Replies

  • Super User

can't find how to do it.  Also have forgotten my password.  Work upgraded to a new OS, and now I can't post from there.  I keep usernames, passwords, security questions and their answers on paper, but this is one site I have zero information written down.  :cry4:

Appreciate if if someone could give me the lowdown on how to take care of these two items.  Thanks.

At the top of the page on the right side your user name is a link. Click it and go to "My Profile". Once you are in your profile click the Edit Profile button at the top on the right side. There will be a list of different things you can change on the left side, one being display name.

There is a link at the login screen that says "I've forgotten my password". That should lead you to recovering your password.

Home automatically logs me on.  I was hoping not to have to do the "Forgot Password" from work as email goes to home.

Clicking on my username (at home) allows me to get to where I can change my Display Name.  Apparently that is not the same thing as username because the name there is not new2BC4bass nor has it ever been.  I have no idea what the Display Name is for.  I have never seen it anywhere except by goinig through My Profile.

Guess I will have to do the Forgot Password routine at work to see what else it may allow me to do.  Doubt it will allow me to do anything but give myself a new password.

EDIT:  The link directly to the riight of my username is Sign Out.  Next is Help.  Neither give any help.  :sad78:

Sorry I couldn't help.
