SK football style shaky head 60*

Recommended Posts

Anyone using? I have been using spot removers but thinking I may like the bite me style better. Looks like a good head to use for small creature baits and finesse worms around hard bottoms.

Used them, got a few hits but was having problems on hooksets. The hooks seem dull to me.

Really? That was the first thing I noticed about them. They appear to be very sharp,  not sure on how the point holds up though..

I was using senkos on them. That may have been my problem. But, the hooks wern't going threw the senko as well as I thought it would

All I use for shaky heads are Strike Kings, both the round and football.  Hooks are VERY sharp. I switched to them from spot removers, not because spot removers are bad, but the SK's fit me better.  The spot removers are not shaky heads, they are stand up heads, and I don't like jig heads with the wire keepers either.  Thats why I went to the SK. I have had good success with the 1/8 football head on a zoom green pumpkin finesse worm under docks, and the 3/8 head with the same worm on deeper stuff.

I picked up the 1/4 football heads for fishing around docks and wood. I like the longer thin wire 4/0 hook I think this will match up nicely with small craws and creatures as well as finesse worms. Without the barb or screw style keeper you also have the option to fish it with an exposed hook if you wish with a hula grub or single tail standard grub...
