Need A Rod

Featured Replies

Just bought a daiwa ballistic t3 for a great price, i need a rod for universal application as i will be shore fishing. I mostly use jerkbaits and spinnerbaits. Price is $120 and under.

For the applications you are looking to do, I'd pick a MH/F rod.  In that price range I'd recommend a Shimano Compre.

In that price range id look at the following

***

St Croix premier

Lews Laser

BPS Carbonlite! Fantastic rod for $100

Carbonlite and *** black. Bass pro has a great warranty just walk in say it broke and you would like to replace it even after the first year.

I have my t3 mx mounted on a 6'9 veritas mh/xf works perfectly for what you want to do and looks very sleek together ..

there are a lot of rods in that price range..... but i cant help you on most of them.

one rod I have used and I would say is the BPS carbonlite.

if it is for spinnerbaits and jerkbaits I would get the medium IMO

also since you are wanting to throw jerkbaits you could actually  get a BPS cranking stick and perhaps still throw spinners on it if you got it stiff enough with a good tip.

I would probably just stick with the carbonlite....... BPS probably has them on sale this week for the classic and most times they have them marked down to $80, and you cant beat that.

I read a day or so ago where gander had omens marked down to like 80$

I use a 7'1" heavy to back up my 7'11" loomis rods.

I really like it for 120 and if you can get it for 80$

Wow

Good luck on it!
