So, I am fighting with common sense and my wallet on buying a new Revo Rocket.  I'm looking for a review if you have one.  I'm down in Louisiana and everyone flips and pitchs down here, except me.  Granted, I have a 200E7 with the bearings polished and upgraded drag.  Thank you DVT!!!

   

But, the Rocket at 9 to 1, Ugh!  Sexy, maybe it is the uniqueness of that high a speed plus 20# of drag........Mmmmm...

I have one and I like it. If you have fished other abu reels and like them then you will like this reel as well.  I will say that the finish scratches very easily.  Also if you do decide to buy one, shop around they can be had well under the retail price.

I had a first gen Revo Preimer and hated it.  But, I did flip with it some, learning in the backyard, and in hind sight wish I would have kept it because I was able to flip with it so well.  But, out on the water in the wind it was Birds nest central for me.  Live and learn.  Thanks Mike!

I don't own one yet, but I think they're a pretty sweet reel. The added IPT with the higher gear ratio will make you a little more efficient on those pitches that are unproductive. If I were you I'd give Tackle Warehouse a call and see if you can try one out. I know they don't have it advertised on their site yet but I wouldn't doubt that they have one ready for their reel demo program. As far as the reel itself goes, it's built on the same Revo platform which is a pretty popular platform and reliable too. Depending on what I get for a tax return, I may have a review for you pretty soon. (fingers crossed)

I found some on the internet as low as $220ish.  I got engaged and want to use the refund to payoff her ring.  But, she is in Virginia now so...........I guess I dont have to ask.

 

But, yeah if you get one here post a review will you, or at least shoot me a PM about it.
