^ I was going to say.  I'm sure the pay rate is higher, but the cost of living out here is nothing to sneeze at.

That's why you only travel for work out there in groups. It helps offset the expenses associated with the cost of living. Otherwise you end up making roughly what you would if you had stayed at home.

Its weird how everything balances out in the end.
