I think I am going to get a Revo Winch at the Bass Pro Classic for my cranking duties. Any of you current or past owners have any enlightening input about this reel?

I have several of these reels and they are great reels, but I think they only have one real purpose, crankbaits.  So if you are looking for a dedicated crankbait reel, this reel will serve you well, but I just think it is too slow to fish anything else that great (at least better than a lot of the other options you have)

Great reel, you should have no issues. I agree above though, I have one for just a dedicated crankbait set up, and while it would work for other purposes, you should not get the winch unless you really want it for the lower gearing.

I have 15 other combo's in the boat. This will be for cranking only

I have one for deep cranking but that is pretty much all I use it for. It is very technique specific, imho. It does, however, excel at what it was designed to do.

Fantastic Reel for cranking. I really only use it for deep cranking.  I am more than happy with mine.
